Nakabayashi started using the original high-end paper for in the new ”Yu-Sari" series of notebooks. This is a specially designed paper, developed for writing with fountain pens, with a particularly strong emphasis on ”quick-drying of ink”, no bleed-through, and a balance in between smoothness and optimal writing performance.
The word "Yu-Sari" stems from an archaic word meaning “Sunset” (YU = Sun, Sari = Past) and is also named after the similarity of the night coming quickly after sunset. Exactly like the ink dries quickly on a sheet after writing. The paper is 95gsm and shows greatly the ink properties, like and . (Less than TRP and CAL papers, better than Rhodia.) Dry time is better than with , and . The Notebook with a soft card-stock cover embossed in gold. The notebook has traditional Japanese binding and completely lies flat while writing. Yu-sari notebook contains 96 sheets.
Available in B5 (182mm x 257mm) and A5 (148mm x 210mm) sizes, three individual colors/layouts (Black - 8mm lines / Orange - blank / Blue - 5 mm grid), 96 sheets for both B5 and A5 sizes - using a perfect thread binding. Only comes in a softcover version and one color per layout.
